What is teachers’ and tutors’ insurance?

Teachers’ and tutors’ insurance is designed to protect educators and tutors from the risks they face whilst providing their professional services. This specialised type of insurance can be tailored to meet specific needs and ensure maximum protection for teachers and tutors, whilst you create lessons, assess student progress and adapt your teaching to each individual client.

Teachers’ and tutors’ insurance typically including coverages such as professional indemnity, legal expenses, and cyber insurance.

Unintentional breach of confidentiality
Loss or damage to documents
Costs of restoring data and equipment

Why do teachers and tutors need insurance?

By investing in insurance, educators can concentrate on their core duties, knowing that they are protected against potential legal and cyber risks. Teachers and tutors’ insurance ensures you are safeguarded against claims of negligence or below-standard services, with coverage extending to help with the cost of legal defence in case of lawsuits, and safeguarding against data breaches and cyber-attacks.

If you employ anyone in your teaching or tutoring role, you are required by UK law to have employers’ liability insurance.

What teachers’ and tutors’ insurance can cover?
